Owen McKay

My name is Owen McKay and I am a gastroenterologist working with GastroX (Melbourne) and I consult and scope at Melbourne Endoscopy (St Kilda Road).

The past two years have been challenging for everyone in the community as we have laboured through a COVID pandemic. Working as a gastroenterologist through Monash Health, I have had first-hand experience in managing patients with COVID and the challenges that have accompanied this over the past two years.

Understandably, the pandemic has placed a significant strain on the public health system with major impacts on the wait list for consultation and procedures.

GastroX offers an opportunity for patients to be seen in a timely fashion and receive high-quality healthcare locally. The consultations will be offered in a timely fashion in person or via telehealth depending the situation, allowing patients to had their concerns addressed without significant delay.

GastroX is a gastroenterologist-owned and driven practice that provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care for all patients with gastrointestinal issues. In addition to consultation and endoscopy, we offer in-demand services such as clinical nutrition, gut-focused hypnotherapy and pelvic floor physiotherapy.

We also provide a comprehensive manometry testing including 24h pH testing, high resolution oesophageal
manometry and rectal physiology testing.

Feel free to contact me at drowen@gastrox.com.au if you would like to discuss any aspect of my clinical practice or the services provided by GastroX in further detail. I can also be available by phone to discuss clinical questions – please contact me 03 7038 0963.
